By using smtoolsai.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. There is no account to close and no subscription to cancel, so ceasing to use the site is the whole of the process.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means acceptance of the revised version.
2. The service
SMToolsAI provides free browser-based utilities for converting and editing images, working with PDF documents, processing text, formatting code and performing calculations. All processing happens on your own device. We do not receive, store or process your files.
The service is provided free of charge. There is no account, no subscription and no payment. We may add, change, restrict or remove tools at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that any particular tool will remain available.
3. Your files and your output
You keep all rights in the files you process and in the results you produce. We claim no ownership, no licence and no interest of any kind in your content, which is straightforward given that we never receive it.
Output may be used for any purpose, including commercial work. You may convert client images, prepare documents for paying customers and sell what you produce. No attribution is required and no licence fee applies.
You are responsible for having the right to process the files you use here. Do not use these tools on material you are not permitted to modify.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to do any of the following.
- Break any applicable law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Remove protection from a document you are not authorised to unprotect.
- Process material that is unlawful, or that depicts the abuse or exploitation of children.
- Attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or the security of either.
- Scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site with automated tools in a way that degrades it for others.
- Reproduce the written content of these pages elsewhere without permission.
Because tools run entirely in your browser, we have no visibility of what you process and no technical means of preventing misuse. That places the responsibility on you, and these terms record it.
5. Intellectual property
The site's design, source code, written guidance and the SMToolsAI name remain our property. Using a tool grants you rights in your output, not in the site itself.
You may link to any page here freely. You may not republish the written content of these pages, present the tools as your own, or embed them in another site without written permission.
6. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that results will be accurate or reliable, or that any defect will be corrected. See the disclaimer for the specific limits that apply to the health, financial and PDF security tools.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMToolsAI and anyone involved in producing it shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid to use the site, which is nothing.
Keep backups of important files. The tools produce a new file and leave your original alone, and confirming the result before deleting an original is your responsibility.
8. Third-party content
The site displays advertising supplied by third parties and links to external resources. We do not control that content, do not endorse it, and are not responsible for it. Your dealings with an advertiser are between you and them. Data collected through advertising is covered in the privacy policy.
Some tools load open-source libraries from a public content delivery network. Those libraries are governed by their own licences, and their availability is outside our control.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SMToolsAI from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any right of a third party.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the site's operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
11. Severability and entire agreement
These terms, together with the privacy policy and the disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and SMToolsAI regarding the site. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
